The brand new out-takes show Beacon Basement, which replaces the long-running The Beacon Files (2004-17) went into production last month with two of its first three episodes almost ready for editing.
On 18 July, Chris Challis made his first on-screen appearance for the club in 18 months by hosting the links of what will be the second edition of Beacon Basement. Chris wrote the script himself, and Luke Foley operated the camera whilst Stephen Launay did sound.
The opening programme is to be presented by Sarah Miatt, who efficiently filmed all of her links on Saturday 4 August. Just Steve was present in the studio for this. A third edition, which will be hosted by another Beacon stalwart, Joshua Ive, will be shot around the middle of August.
Each show contains several recent outtakes, as well as the top three of each of the presenters. The opening two editions will be premiered at the Beacon Awards Evening in October, and the links were filmed on the new Black Magic camera.
